A five-bedroom condominium unit at Sunny Isles Beach’s Acqualina development is now on the market for $4.3 million, according to Howard Chase Real Estate’s Lianne Graubart, who has the listing. The 4,415-square-foot property is unit 3903 at Acqualina, which is located at 17885 Collins Avenue. Acqualina, which launched in 2006, has another project, the Mansions at Acqualina, which has already reached $270 million in sales.

Cresa South Florida reaches 700,000 square feet of deals since March

Advisory firm Cresa South Florida has closed more than 700,000 square feet of leasing deals since the end of March, the firm announced Monday. Recent transactions by the firm have included deals by HBO Latin America, UBS, Toyota, and Cartier-Richmont Latin America & Caribbean. Cresa, which has more than 55 offices around the world, is the largest tenant representation firm in North America. Matthew Goodman, managing principal at Cresa, said the firm was planning several “significant announcements” by the end of 2012.

Chariff handles sale of multi-family building in Design District for $3.5 million

A 2,362-square-foot multi-family building in the Design District has been sold for $3.5 million, The Real Deal has learned. The property, which is located at 4100 NE 1 Street, sold for an average of $1,482 per square foot in an unlisted transaction. The buyer was Uptown Girl Development, which has reportedly acquired a demolition permit and plans to redevelop the site. The property last sold in 2006 for $350,000. Chariff Realty Group’s Lyle Chariff and Mauricio Zapata represented the buyer. Alexander Karakhanian represented the seller.

Majestic Tower prices sees impact of nearby St. Regis

A penthouse at the Majestic Tower condominium in Bal Harbour has sold for $4.9 million, The Real Deal has learned. The property, which has been featured several times on the Bravo series “The Real Housewives of New York,” was purchased by a buyer from Argentina. It had been owned by George Teichner, the father of “Real Housewives”  personality Aviva Drescher.

In 1999, Teichner paid $927,0000 for the four-bedroom, four-bathroom unit, which is located at 9601 Collins Avenue, #204.

“Prices have increased dramatically,” Sheryl Goldberg of Engel and Voelkers, who had the listing on the unit, told The Real Deal.

Goldberg said she had seen price jumps of around 20 percent in the building from a year ago. The unit had been listed at $4.95 million.

Bal Harbour has been experiencing a price surge, as buyers are increasingly looking to areas further north in Miami-Dade County. And brokers say it’s the nearby St. Regis Bal Harbour, which officially opened its doors this year, that is pushing prices north.

In July, the St. Regis Bal Harbour was the scene of a $24.6 million purchase of a combined five-unit bloc, first reported by The Real Deal.

Miami’s Opera Tower getting facelift; Hollo taps Fortune to market remaining units

Downtown Miami’s Opera Tower is currently undergoing a $1.2 million redesign, with changes to its recreational room, lobby and pool deck. The new project was announced by developer Tibor Hollo. Opera has also retained Fortune International to handle the sellout of the remaining units at the 56-story tower on Biscayne Bay. “We’re making significant changes at Opera Tower and investing a great deal to make life for our residents even more pleasurable,” Hollo said. There are currently around 300 units remaining at Opera, which is located at 1750 N Bayshore Drive.
