Home prices in the Miami-Miami Beach-Kendall metropolitan area rose 11.3 percent in August compared to the same period in 2011, according to a report from CoreLogic. Nationally, home prices saw a 4.9-percent increase in August compared to August 2011, the largest year-over-year increase of any month since 2006. “Again this month prices rose on a year-over-year basis, and our expectation is for that to continue in September based on our pending HPI forecast,” said Mark Fleming, chief economist at CoreLogic. “The housing market’s gains are increasingly geographically diverse with only six states continuing to show declining prices.” Real Deal Miami Beach Real Estate News!
