Miami’s 1450 Brickell beats out Marlins Park, others for Urban Land Institute award

The 1450 Brickell office tower in downtown Miami has been named “project of the year” by the Urban Land Institute District Council for Southeast Florida and the Caribbean. The project, which was developed by Rilea Group, has 583,000 square feet of office space. Together with its adjacent One Broadway residential tower, the complex has a total of 410,000 square feet of residential space and 35,000 square feet of retail space. 1450 Brickell is currently 94 percent occupied. Other projects in the running included the new Marlins Park and the city of Doral’s new government center. — Alexander Britell
